About Wildflower Bakery VA

Wildflower Bakery was born from a dream, a hope, and a deep desire to provide for my family through some of life's hardest moments.

In January 2026, my multiple sclerosis flared and my mental health took a serious hit, leading me to go on medical leave — and eventually, to losing my job in June. I needed something to keep my hands busy and my heart full. I had already been exploring sourdough through online communities, driven by a desire to be more intentional about what I was feeding my toddler and myself. My sister-in-law had baked some incredible loaves that inspired me to try my own. What started as curiosity quickly became a passion.

The encouragement I received from friends and family was overwhelming. So I decided to share my creations with the world.

The name came naturally. My daughter, Violet, is my little wildflower — wild, beautiful, and full of life. My love for nurturing her mirrors the love and care I put into every loaf I bake. Just like watching her grow, there is something deeply fulfilling about tending to a sourdough starter, shaping a loaf, and sending it out into the world with a little piece of warmth baked in.

I don't skimp on quality to save a dollar. Every loaf is made with intention, with care, and with the hope that whoever receives it feels a little of the love that went into making it. This bakery is how I am redefining what it means to provide for my family — and how I plan to leave my mark on the world.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
